According to the structural form, water-cooled condensers are mainly divided into three types: shell-and-tube, double-pipe and plate type. Among them, the shell-and-tube type is the most widely used, which can be further divided into vertical and horizontal types to meet the needs of different scenarios. Its core working principle is: after the high-temperature and high-pressure gaseous refrigerant enters the condenser, it exchanges heat with the cooling water flowing in the tube through the tube wall. The refrigerant releases heat and condenses into liquid to be discharged, while the heated cooling water is cooled by the cooling tower for recycling or direct discharge.


With the excellent heat transfer performance of water, the water-cooled condensers has stable and low condensation temperature, which can improve the operation efficiency of the compressor and reduce energy consumption. At the same time, it has low operation noise and is less affected by external weather. Its core components include heat exchange tube bundle, shell, tube plate and medium inlet and outlet. The material is mostly copper or stainless steel with good thermal conductivity to ensure heat transfer effect and equipment durability.


Although it needs supporting systems such as cooling towers and circulating water pumps, which have certain water consumption and maintenance requirements, the water-cooled condensers is still the preferred equipment for large-scale refrigeration systems, industrial process cooling and other scenarios due to its advantages of high efficiency, energy saving and stable operation, providing core support for the efficient operation of refrigeration cycles in various fields.
